Meet Our Groomers

  • Shelby Robinson with Shelby's Grooming

Shelby’s story starts all the way back in 2010 when she began bathing for a family friend that owned their own grooming business. Later gaining knowledge simply by watching and being hands on-she began grooming in 2012, and you could say it all happened by chance.

Shelby is a Vacaville native who loves Pokemon, Disney and of course, her husband and 3 kids. Her super positive and upbeat attitude are bound to keep your dog and/or cat happy and comfy during their whole experience with her. Safety is not only Shelby’s top priority, but all of our groomers.

Not only does she groom dogs, but cats as well. One of Shelby’s most proudest achievements so far has been Color Dyeing! Yes! She can color your dog and/or cat!

One of Shelby’s at home grooming tips? “With any type of brushing, be sure to ALWAYS finish the job with a fine tooth METAL comb”. This helps with really getting any and all tangles out.

At the moment- Shelby is at Full Capacity with Dog clients and is only accepting new Cat clients.

  • Jason Balmes with The Barkershop

Beginning in 2012, Jason is our early bird starting at 7AM for anyone needing early morning appointments.

From his hobbies outside of the salon, Jason not only plays Volleyball but has been coaching for over 10 years, starting around the same time as his grooming career. He is a father to his own family of 3 pups, so he has a pretty busy schedule.

Jason’s overall attentive and down-to-business attitude is bound to make him your new favorite groomer. Jason’s top grooming tool is the clipper vac! A clipper attached to a vaccuum. This helps with easy clean up.

One of Jason’s at home grooming tips is to… well, leave it to the professionals. Especially the face. Try and keep your pup pre-booked with your preferred groomer as to avoid any at home grooming mishaps.

  • Kim Rojas with Kimberly's Grooming

Meet Kim. She’s our newest & greatly gifted groomer joining us here at Solano’s Ultimutt Grooming. She began bathing in 2021, and as of 2022 has slowly but surely developed amazing skills in grooming our beloved companions.

Kim is a Vacaville native and has animals herself, including a cat, two dogs and… a horse! So we can definitely guarantee and say she knows her stuff! Kim’s calm demeanor is sure to make your furry family member love her and want to keep coming back.

Kim’s most important grooming tip? Try and keep your pet with the same groomer as to build a relationship of trust and respect between them. It not only makes the grooming process easier, but more comfortable for the both of them.
